Skills-Building for Youth

Our Skills-building Clinic is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-based program designed to help youth ages 10-18 years dealing with anxiety, stress, and depression. Youth are taught skills to change unhealthy patterns of thinking. Through 6 virtual sessions, youth will learn to think, feel, and behave in positive ways. These skills will benefit their overall view of life and prepare them to be resilient adults.

Ridore Chanon ContactFor the last 15 years, I have had the pleasure of caring for children and youth as a pediatric nurse practitioner completing routine and sick visits. With the scarcity of resources after the pandemic, I decided to obtain my mental health specialist certification and start the Skills-building Clinic within our Pediatric Clinic.

I’m so excited to work with youth. I believe coping can be learned from a young age. When youth learn to cope and “win” through their mental health challenges, they are better equipped as adults to thrive and live healthy, enriching lives.
