You’re invited to submit ideas for our time capsule
As we begin a new era of healthcare, we want to capture our story with a time capsule that will be sealed in our new Clinic & Specialty Center. Staff, patients, and community members are invited to submit ideas for objects and artifacts that represent who we are and the legacy we’ve built so far. Suggestions will be collected until Friday, April 27.
Here are a few of the ideas that have already been submitted:
- Patient menu
- Photo of first Clinic & Specialty Center patient
- Wound dressing supplies
How to participate
Fill out the suggestion form here with your ideas. Please note the time capsule’s dimensions (19″ x 12″ x 9″). All items placed in the time capsule must be dry and non-perishable. When suggesting items, items made from materials like paper, plastic, and glass may work best.
Time capsule installation
We will compile all the ideas and choose the best items to be placed in the time capsule. The time capsule with these items will then be installed during a celebratory ceremony at the Clinic & Specialty Center. There, the time capsule will stay for the next couple of decades for future generations of Hennepin Healthcare staff and community members to uncover.

PR should have lots of trinkets and the coffee table book (Hennepin) should b put in in there. It has pictures of the surrounding area that has changed so much. There was also a poster done with pictures o f the real General and the coexisting hospital. The last one I saw was in the Diabetes old clinic
